In TCP, a Domain is a subject area that represents one of the areas in which individuals may perform project work. We have 10 different domains, which are as follows:
We use domains, and the colour scheme we've created for them for two primary reasons:
- To make it easier to visually identify deliverables in a specific domain. Note in the below the colour of the deliverable tile corresponds with its domain.
- To assign rights to individuals that correspond to the deliverable groups. Since many project roles are domain-specific, e.g. Quality Reviewer, Procurement Officer, Communications Analyst, this allows a clean segregation of duties. Yet in TCP you can also blend in rights from other domains for cross-domain roles like Business Analyst or Auditor.
