Objectives or Project Objectives specify the reasons, in narrative form, why the project is being conducted. They are the top level of the benefits traceability matrix and are therefore mandatory to initiate all subordinate planning.
When considering the objectives, you are answering the question, "Why are we doing this?" You will separately elucidate the benefits, so use the Objectives section to describe the organizational changes and what people can expect to be different in the future.
The detail in the Objectives is used by the Organizational Change Management and Communications teams so the more detail given here, the better.
